I'm Stephenie Klotzbach
STUDENT THERAPIST FROM FRIENDS UNIVERSITY
I grew up in a small town in central Kansas. During my undergraduate program, I took many psychology classes and knew I wanted to serve the community by helping others, I just was unsure in what way. After graduating, I pursued a career as Family Consultant, doing home visits with children and families for a local Head Start Program. It was here that I realized how valuable and important connection is within your family system. In the past year, I have been a Case Manager for a domestic violence agency in the Kansas City metro.
I received additional training in Conscious Discipline to further focus on recognizing and expressing emotions in a healthy way from a young age, as well as learning to make those crucial emotional connections with others.
I am excited to be furthering my career as an intern at Friends University in their Marriage and Family Therapy Program. I aspire to focus on attachment, trauma and play therapy throughout my internship. I look forward to connecting with you!
