Based on the book by Dr. Sue Johnson
The ideas presented in this workshop are based on the work of Dr. Sue Johnson and her model, Emotionally Focused Therapy. Emotionally Focused Therapy has been shown in research studies to reduce distress in 70-75% of couples and 90% of those couples have reported significant improvement.
Goals for the workshop
Better understanding of the science of romantic love and an understanding of the moves and moments that create a meaningful relationship
Better understanding of your own and your partner's emotional needs and wants
Be able to identify and change negative interactions that create distance and emotional pain between you and your partner
Be able to change the negative interactions into positive interactions that create connection, security and safety in your relationship
Workshop Format
You will learn though presentation, group discussion, video presentation of couples and private conversation with your partner with optional assistance from your facilitator.
